Did you know the first Polish settlers arrived in Jamestown, Va., in 1608 on the ship Mary and Margaret? They were Polish glass blowers hired by the Virginia London Company to establish a glassmaking industry in the new colony. The glass products they made were the first manufactured in the fledgling American nation and the first to be exported to Europe for sale.

Celebrate your Polish heritage with these PBS television broadcasts (check your local station for times and dates).
