Ambacht Brewery makes Ambacht Matzobraü once Passover is done. The Oregon craft beer maker puts out a call to locals once Passover is over, to be significantly redundant, for leftover matzah to make their Matzobraü. Anyone who stops by the brewery with unopened leftover boxes of matzah will be treated to a glass of one of their beers. In addition, you can sample two years' batches of Matzobraü just for fun.
Matzobraü is made with Golden Ale and matzah added to the mash, making it a wheat ale. The matzah is there, but not in a beat you over the head sort of way, as is the case with all of their ales. This seasonal beer made just after Passover has an ABV of 6.5% and a finishing gravity of 1.007.
Unfortunately, they do not ship, so you have to be somewhere in the Pacific Northwest (or have a friend who will ship it to you) to avail yourself of this brew. What a cool Hanukkah gift this would make!
