New Orleanians are fond of saying, "Eat oysters, love longer." Crescent City locals believe the bivalve has certain aphrodisiac qualities. So oysters on Valentine's Day seem like an appropriate pairing.

Tommy Cvitanovich, Croatian restaurateur and co-owner of Drago's Seafood restaurants in New Orleans and Metairie, La., is the creator of charbroiled oysters, and a better way of preparing them I know not. If you can't manage a trip to Drago's in the near future, try making them at home with Drago's Charbroiled Oysters Recipe. Just remember, these babies pack a garlic punch, so make sure you AND your partner eat them to cancel out any malodorous smooches!
