Fat Tuesday

Fat Tuesday, also known as Shrove Tuesday or Mardi Gras, is a time for feasting before the fasting of Lent begins the next day with Ash Wednesday.

Paczki Day is the Polish celebration of Fat Tuesday, or Shrove Tuesday, the last chance to indulge before the fasting days of Lent. "Paczki" or fried bismarck-like cakes are eaten as a splurge.
