This mushroom filling goes well with savory Polish nalesniki, also known as Polish blintzes or filled crepes. Once filled and rolled, they can be baked or pan fried, or dipped in beaten egg and bread crumbs and fried.
Makes about 1 cup Mushroom Filling

Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup finely chopped fresh mushrooms
- 1 small finely chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons fine dry bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
- In a large skillet, saute mushrooms and onions in butter until onion is tender. Remove from heat and cool.
- Add remaining ingredients, mixing well. Use immediately.
