What's on the table?
Turkey, dressing and gravy as a rule, roast beef on occasion. Side dishes would be all over the map. We had Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve. On Christmas itself we'd open gifts then have a mid-morning brunch. Christmas afternoon was an open house with a huge buffet (prepared in advance) spread out on the dining table.
